The time has come, the Walrus said, to talk of many things (g)

Now I don´t know about you, but "You´re just afraid of powerful women" is my all-time favourite from - let´s just say she really hates it when I "respect her more than anybody else with the same battle displacement and hat size". The wall opposite the bar is mirrored, but not for the life of her will she turn around and face reality. Like, who you gonna believe, Shulamith Firestone or your cheating eyes? (Not that she´s unpleasant to look at, despite a hairdo like a crashed banshee, glasses and usually a black Tee with a big red star where a chest oughta be - Me would love her ;b)

Nok: (n´importe quoi)

Fav Fem: Fuck that. Because
Firstly, it´s paternalistic, and
Secondly, I´m equal.

Nok: (more of same, light-heartedly. Smile :).)

Fav Fem: Fuck that. Because
Firstly, it´s paternalistic, and
Secondly, I´m equal.

Nok: (patient, long-winded lecture on history, philosophy, cultural anthropology, human ethology and whatsitsname: Not this, but no.)

Fav Fem: This only goes to show that Nature is a patriarchal
old bitch and must be abolished. (verbatim!)

Nok: (pause)

Fav Fem: WHAT?!

Nok: (coo) You realize, of course, that I could with this one hand
snap your neck like a greasy chicken bone.

Fav Fem: (looks) Yes. So what?

Nok: So you´re just sponging on my good manners, like any
other hussy. Is that what you call equal?

(cat/dogfight, unintelligible)

- Needless to say, the memsahib of the joint is grinning with anticipation whenever she sees us together.
(She predicts we´ll be a couple in like no time. Ow. Mebbe it IS time to get a teensy bit afraid.
Full Disclosure: She thinks that Fav Fem is just as neurotic as yours truly and that this is a major accomplishment. Ow! Ow! Ow! )

In fact, I enjoy being around Fav Fem (every now and then, that is; she can make Me feel like a down feather by comparison :).)
She´s quick-witted, widely read (sinologist), and if there´s one thing we agree on, I hope she never finds out; it would break her heart :). But try as I might (g), I cannot bring myself to taking her seriously.

Anyone with similar problems?
Note: Actual specimen, not a composite one, but I mean this as a general rant. I value her opinion rather highly, as long as it isn´t too, erm, specific. She´s anything but ignorant of biology, though her favourite examples are already a little - weird. But when she lets fly with "history", "sociology", "psychology" and the like, she painfully reminds me of those Afrocentrists. (really, why didn´t they include Geiserich among their "Great Kings of Africa"? I mean, everybody and his mama know he was at least as Black as Hannibal and Cleopatra. Still too crass, you say? Wait another generation.)

Seriously, how can anyone ... ?

-Long, hazel curls, green eyes, nearsighted (cute!), a doll´s face with the slightest hint of freckles, a nice and firm though petite body, a somewhat impish smile (it took me half a year to get to see it - not, if I say so myself, the usual time frame :).) - yet she somehow manages to look like having just been spat out. I never asked her whether this is due to feminitis, social revolutionary wisdom or the fact she´s been raped (by one of her persuasion, not mine, I should note. OD or something.). Nor do I intend to; she probably wouldn´t know herself.

-After what I estimate is a pint of Olmeca (Good Heavens, where does she drink it to?), she´s surprisingly insightful ("Funny ... the first man I ever kissed committed suicide. The second is now the lover of (popular gay entertainer) ..[]" ) I was waiting for the third so I might see a pattern, but it wasn´t that kind of story.

-I remember one night spent playing her bitch. (and vice versa. Her idea, not mine; I´m not into this kinky role playing thing :).) You really learn an awful lot about stereotypes and mannerisms, especially your own (g); though one looker-on positively freaked out :).

-And, I´m still not serious ;b.

On third thought ... this is still not what I mean.

Maybe a seemingly unrelated but recent example can illustrate it (grossly simplified and distilled). "Humans evolved from blacks" and "Whites are inbred degenerates" - both statements are based on sound, recent research (yes, there is a methodical error, but let´s ignore it for the moment).
But for those lacking the basic understanding of biology to notice that both mean exactly the same, all that remains is spin.
Returning to the original demographics, we find things like "Mens are violent" and "Wimmins are incapable of science". Both are demonstrably true, but one is Gospel and the other is Uproar.
Why can´t we talk the obvious - hormones, muscles, brains, behaviours - like people already out of kindergarten for an appreciable amount of time?

Vive la différence!

Hi Kangs,

I haven't read the above yet... a little wary; haha! But curious, and I will.

Hi, Julie :)

For those desiring ammo against yours truly,
there´s David Neiwert´s recent synopsis.

-Nah, I get no respect (g). While I´m at it, Stan Goff also wrote a few pieces on fromthewilderness.com that might be of interest to Me (including "The Insurgent´s Handbook, Part I", no less :).)

Ah, and to think all this time I was expecting to read a drunken anti-feminist rant. That is not it at all. NoKangs is in love. NoKangs is horny. (And, yes, maybe NoKangs is drunk.)

Good luck with your Fav Feminist in all of her glorious intelligent sensual babedom!

"The benei Elohim saw the daughters of Adam, that they were fit extensions." Gen. 2:6 ;b

JB seems to think that I´m thrown sideways by discovering that not EVERY feminist is ugly, Jewish and lesbian (though their cadres and doctrines most certainly are). This is not it quite. I just thought the topic is emotionally fraught enough already and could use a little lightening up.
Quoth Fav: (she was mildly amused, just queried - dryly: "Is JB right?" "Nonononono. Just a friendly little stab in the back.") Nok DEFinitely was drunk - as usual. And Nok is projecting (femi-psycholese for "In your dreams, Lord Helmet." I wish she´d quit calling me that.)

-Every feminist entertaining thoughts of becoming reasonable ought to contemplate the fate of Antiope, the Amazon herald who was abducted by Theseus (technically an international crime, yes; though she wasn´t too unwilling), became his and Athens´beloved queen and died fighting by his side - at the hand of her sisters (who wanted to avenge her).
-Or the other way round? Meleagros had been an Argonaut (i.e. one of the choicest heroes of his time) and had just slain the Kalydonian boar, but was killed by his own mother (by voodoo, no less) because he fell in love with Atalante (the unruly daughter of Iasion, king of Arcadia. He had her set out in the woods to die because she wasn´t a boy so she grew up without interest in men, only in hunting.)

Moral: It is not so much the gods who are against it, it is the Party. If it´s any consolation, JB, Fav hates my gut too (for philosophical, not for personal reasons ;b).
