A redemption movie from South Africa. A murderer "thug" (tsotsi) who bore witness to dehamization as a kid perpetuates the cycle. That is until he finds the baby of a woman he shot in a car he stole. Whoops!
Sometimes truly horrifying (I think I said "NO!" aloud to the characters a few times and covered my face...) Sometimes genuinely moving. And other times very conventional...
Definately see it, but don't buy it if you hear it compared to _City of God_...
