Like almost everyone who saw it, I thoroughly enjoyed the film. I saw it early in its release and went with no expectations. I left with a lightened heart and smile. The people who see it after the hype, much like Sideways, probably have their expectations too high. Still, a smart, funny, lovely little film. (And all the better if you have a healthy respect of nostalgia for Rick James.)
