Let's think about THE WORLD...

These questions will be discussed Day 1. Share additional thoughts here.

1)First, where are your ancestors from? Do you feel a connection to those places?

2)What areas of the world intrigue you and you would like to visit? Why?

3)What areas of the world don’t interest you much? Any you’d prefer to avoid?

4)What areas of the world do you feel you know very little about? Explain.

5)Which areas of the world do you feel are stereotyped in this country? Explain.

6) Are there foreign cultures which have somehow influenced you through music, art, food or politics? Which?

7)Are there foreign cultures which probably have a big impact on your life in ways that aren’t as obvious? How so?

8)Would the world be better off if we became one big culture or is cultural difference and identity important?

1) My ancestors are from here (the U.S.) back when it was Mexico. They touch on California, Colorado, and New Mexico.
The connection I feel for most is LA and what it represents to the latin coulture.

2) Different locations for differant reasons, Japan for it's technology, South america to explore the aztrec and myan coulture as well as the pyramids, Egypt to see the great pyrimids, greece for it's archatecture, and anything else that can an will pop up throughout my lifetime

3) I would like to avoid Iroq, Iran, the Antarctic, Africa, and Russia these places don't hold much interest to me.

4) the places listed in question three (3) cause I can usually find something of intrest whenever I've taken the time to explore/research a topic of interest. Those places listed above I've never taken the time to explore/research.

5) anyplace where a towns name starts with "little." Sure the town is trying to preserve the coulture, essence, consciousness, the spirit of the country but to have it displayed so prominantly and in such a focused area just seems a little wrong to me.

6) yes, art, food, politics, and music have had an influence on me and has opened my mind to different and sometimes better possibilities.

7) yes, being influenced in a big way by other coultures means that at some point, some way I've had to pick up the little things that even I'm not aware of. I'll acknowledge those things (even if I don't know what they are)

8) No, we need our differences to be who we are going to be, otherwise we lose who we are. meaning, 1 Julie (the bolt) is cool, 15 or 30 Julie (the bolts) No please!!!
