One of the scariest things I've ever seen: http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/ver/256.0/popup/index.php?cl=7090861 My jaw dropped when I saw that kid answer "because it's in the bible". I can't believe anybody would want people to grow up without an ounce of critical thinking; letting ANY of their answers in life be answered by a book. But to me this is just another sign of these dark times...

more backwardness! http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080328/ap_on_re_us/daughter_s_death_prayer so sad. but hey.. at least shamans and healers from ancient cultures DID something about the sick! religious healing ain't all that bad when you actually get involved in something physical! if it weren't for those brave people that have studied ayahuasca and other jungle gifts a lot of FDA approved medicines would have never seen the light of day. But just prayer to Christ? Is this another case of trying to solve everything by using the answers in the good book? I've been meaning to study more about the native Americans. They seem to be one of the most documented indigenous people (Indians in their 'pure' form were documented up to the 1900's - unfortunately aztecs, mayans and the such's history is quite muddy; and there aren't any photographs of them!!!). A white Christian man that studied them was amazed at how in touch with "GOD" they were without ever mentioning him, and without a book and any rules. And they KNEW that we are all connected - that there was no difference between man, the bear and the salmon - even the flies and gnats. How insane is that? Not much. Up until now the scientific community is starting to see the truth in that. James Lovelock coined it : GAIA.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/04/19/AR2008041901894.html USA NEO NAZI ACTION!!!!! yes... America's most backwards, stupid, dumb and idiotic group of people rears it's ugly head to protest 'illegal immigration' and a 2-way party system. how sad is this? Beyond sad! a tragic, tragic human anomie. It's disgusting, sick and horrific that these people would take up the nazi identity. And to protest those things?? HA! Come on, everybody knows that a lot of other people are critical of those 2 things and yet they don't have to wear Nazi insignia. I would even say that these people give whoever is critical of illegal immigration a bad name... But still... When I see these people I have no qualms that we should just be eradicated off the face of the earth. No matter what anybody thinks, as enlightened as it may be, people like this just turn it all into nothingness. People like these are 20 steps backward in the path to create a more humane, enlightened human race. And watch out! These people rear their ugly head everywhere on the internet where people can post 'comments'! The hate is everywhere, the racism rampant, the ignorance strives and is an infection. American Neo-Nazis.. even the concept itself is completely idiotic.. i mean.. the US defeated those guys... so, they're standing on the side of the US, wearing the insignia of a defeated enemy from the 1940s?? AAAAHHH!!!!

What´s the fuss over a handful of Americans in uniform? To the biologist, these are but high-end gang colours. I hope nobody missed it was the PROTESTERS who covered their faces and caused the hiccup. Jews on steroids, gaga lesbians, Affirmative Action Americans: The Unholy Trinity. Yeah, I know they prefer to be called "activists". If this is Miguel`s intellectual elite, I can only throw up - my hands ;b From what little I know, the NSM is pretty far out, and no one takes them seriously. They are a bit hardcore, quite sectarian, and their philosophy is Nietzschean in the extreme. i.e. They believe a "more humane, enlightened human race" cannot be created in the presence of those evolution has already passed by. On which they are obviously right. I object to them as a matter of refined taste, not because I can refute them. (Miguel quite obviously cannot either) - Cute I found the argument that they ought not to be seen (the WP article does not mention Nazi insignia. Was Miguel there?;b) because the US defeated them. The US defeated Mexico like what, 27 times? And yet the pestilence is all over the place.

Nokangaroos: I do appreciate the criticisms, for I think those that shun the criticisms to live inside their ideological cocoons are just as bad as those they criticize. Perhaps I'm not as cultured in politics to refute your arguments with cold hard facts, and I have very emotional responses to what I see, therefore my comments were vaguely reasoned. This is probably the thing that I've yet to perfect in my writings - feelings of disgust are ugly and have very little value written out in its pure form; reason has to come in and manipulate the feelings in a way that'll make it educational. And perhaps, if there is no way one can manipulate the feeling and turn into a positive idea, there is just no value on expressing it at all. The group of protesters had a wide spectrum of people and those that hid their faces perhaps were trying to create a stylistic approach - usually, people wearing masks have a tendency to elicit certain responses in people, just like the masked wrestlers, ski-mask wearing activists and so on, and perhaps a bit of protection from scrutiny and also a bit of 'fear' on their side. Activists wearing masks is nothing new, and in any case, there were only a handful wearing them. So I don't see why this even matters. If I'd been there I'd be wearing my good ol' happy face. And, the nazi emblems were everywhere! You probably didn't look hard enough. They had flags and banners and t-shirts! How could you miss them? Your comment "The US defeated Mexico like what, 27 times? And yet the pestilence is all over the place." strikes me as racist and arrogant - perhaps if you lived in a place like Los Angeles you'd feel surrounded by the pestilent scourge of the Mexican people and its culture staining your perfect America. You and I, we walk different paths... perhaps going in the opposite way forever, never turning back or caring if the other side had greener pastures, but; I've learned thru hard lessons and ego management that it's always good to learn about all the paths and enjoy a holiday or two on the other side. Then we can probably really start learning from each other.
