Are you prepared to defend Obama for the next 4 years? Do you have that much confidence in him and the Democrat party?

It almost seems as if McCain wants to lose. He is not running a race at all. It reminds me of 92 when the elder Bush seemed to have contempt for the whole process.
Critics like to bash Palin, but in reality, the only time his polls jumped forward was after her acceptance speech, and after the debate. I think even if Obama wins, you still might see a Palin-Clinton race for the White House. Obama winning would revitalize the conservative movement, but also cause the Democrats to move to the center and re-form themselves into something closer to the JFK model of a democrat, rather than the Teddy Kennedy version.

As far as the Dickinson article(diatribe), it was a bit over the top. He could have written a more subdued story and had the same effect. Some of it is true, some of it not, but in both cases his bias was so offensive that he would turn off anyone but the far left. But then again, it is Rolling Stone.

I have always had problems with McCain that went beyond politics. That is why I supported Bush over him in 2000, and would easily do so again today.

I do have lots of hope for Obama! I don't feel any different about the Dems than I ever did, and don't see how they could move closer to the middle.

You would still vote for Bush? Wowsa; that's something !

Instead of McCain, that is. I would have preferred Romney.
